Infusing Sustainability across USC

In her end of year letter to the Trojan community, President Folt highlighted some of the university’s major achievements in sustainability in 2022.

When it comes to both conceiving and implementing the bold measures needed to save the planet, USC is leading by example. By reducing wasteful practices and developing new technologies to turn waste into usable materials, we are opening doors to new possibilities of clean energy, renewable materials, and storytelling that change the world for the better. And we will educate our students about sustainability in our curriculum as well. Read more about our efforts below.

USC awarded $8.8 million for sustainability research initiatives

The funds support sustainability-focused research projects on alternative energies and pollution reduction, as well as efforts to help shade L.A. neighborhoods to improve quality of life. Read more
