USC’s hydration stations are increasing water access

In October 2022, the USC Spatial Sciences Institute, in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability and student volunteers from the undergraduate student organization, SC Mappers, set out to map the hydration stations across USC’s University Park Campus (UPC) and Health Sciences Campus (HSC).

With over 500 hydration station data points collected, a comprehensive map of USC’s hydration stations was made. The collection of data was further used by the Spatial Sciences Institute to visualize campus hydration stations and provide further insight on hydration station deserts and the optimal placement of new hydration stations.
