On April 11th, 2024, USC ITE had the pleasure of welcoming two transportation media professionals to our campus for a media panel discussion about transportation in Los Angeles. On our panel was documentary film producer, Nick Andert, and LA Times writer, Rachel Uranga.
Nick Andert, better known as Nandert on YouTube, a Notre Dame Alum, has made a career in writing, editing, and producing documentaries focusing on LA transportation projects. Amassing over 11 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel, most notably with his videos detailing updates on LA Metro projects, Nick Andert is a source for many LA transportation enthusiasts.
Rachel Uranga, staff writer for the LA Times, covers transportation and mobility for the publication. Graduating with a masters from Columbia, Uranga has spent her career reporting on events in Los Angeles, from being on the Los Angeles news group editorial board to covering the intersection between business, technology, and culture for dot.LA.
