As April rolls around, USC celebrates another Earth Month filled with events and sustainability initiatives. Earth Month celebrations support USC’s sustainability framework, Assignment: Earth, which focuses on addressing climate change and creating a sustainable future.
Here’s a rundown of this month’s festivities:
USC Arts and Climate Collective Festival
Earth Month activities commenced on April 2 with a festival hosted by the Arts & Climate Collective which celebrated and highlighted local, student and USC organizations for their work in environmental justice and sustainability.
Students were able to attend panels, participate in workshops, view artwork and walk through a resource fair of 20+ vendors and organizations.
Attending an event
USC and several different USC organizations are hosting over 50 events for students during this year’s Earth Month. There’s a variety of events, ranging from panels to beach clean-ups to dialogues intertwining the conversation of faith with environmental justice.
